Nuformdesign è uno studio con base a Milano, al confine tra architettura, interior design, illuminazione e sound design. Ogni progetto, che sia un'abitazione privata, uno spazio commerciale o un singolo oggetto, viene affrontato come un'indagine a sé: un'esplorazione di forma, materia e del modo in cui uno spazio viene vissuto, non semplicemente occupato. Nuformdesign is a Milan-based studio at the intersection of architecture, interior design, lighting and sound design. Every project — a private home, a commercial space, a single object — is approached as its own investigation: an exploration of form, material, and the way a space is experienced rather than just occupied.

Il lavoro dello studio si muove tra forme biomorfe e un uso intenso di luce e ombra, dove materiali essenziali e dettagli preziosi convivono in equilibrio, spesso sfumando il confine tra ambiente costruito e paesaggio naturale, come nei progetti di piscine, pensate per fondersi con il terreno attraverso materiali biocompatibili. Fondato e guidato da Luca Sommariva, con Giorgio D'Andrea e Dario Coppola, Nuformdesign considera sostenibilità e risonanza emotiva non come obiettivi separati, ma come due facce dello stesso problema progettuale. The studio's work moves between biomorphic forms and a strong play of light and shadow, where essential materials and refined details coexist in balance, often blurring the line between built environment and natural landscape — as in its swimming pool projects, designed to merge with the terrain using biocompatible materials. Founded and led by Luca Sommariva, with Giorgio D'Andrea and Dario Coppola, Nuformdesign treats sustainability and emotional resonance not as separate goals but as the same design problem.

Luca Sommariva

Architetto, designer e musicista, Luca fonda Nuformdesign con un approccio che attraversa discipline senza mai perdere un filo conduttore riconoscibile. Il suo laboratorio alchemico mescola matite, carta, intelligenza artificiale e strumenti elettronici: idee e soluzioni convivono nella stessa grammatica visiva, sempre personale, sempre riconoscibile. Architect, designer and musician, Luca founded Nuformdesign with an approach that crosses disciplines without ever losing a recognisable thread. His alchemical workshop blends pencils, paper, artificial intelligence and electronic instruments: ideas and solutions share the same visual grammar — always personal, always unmistakable.

Analytical by nature, he turns regulatory and constructive complexity into clear paths forward. CAD and spreadsheets are his palette.

Designer e specialista della comunicazione visiva e graphic design: dal logo al branding, dal sito web alla grafica editoriale, passa con disinvoltura dalla matita alla penna ottica. Ogni progetto porta il valore di un segno che rimane. Designer and visual communication and graphic design specialist: from logo to branding, from website to editorial graphics, he moves fluently from pencil to stylus.
