INSECTS ARE SEXY
Insects Are Sexy is a project born at the end of 2007, created by milanese designer and musician Luca Sommariva. The main purpose is to plunge in a vision closer to the musical sound textures and the live performance, a sound mixture which is more detactable into soundtrack as well as sound design.
Keyboardist who attended piano and electronic keyboards studies, great lover of classical music and electronica, Luca Sommariva (aka Insects Are Sexy) loves to explore with his music the creeping and gloomy territories of humans’soul and mind, the inner universe areas where the light that shines comes instead of the Sun light, from ‘other’, nor less brilliant and fascinating stars.
The name of the project itself suggests an harmonic nature, but often compared to something dark and distant from the concept of beauty and sensuality. The consequence is a composition full of organic sounds, sometimes melancholic, in contrast with the bright notes of the piano or the melting strings.
